Radhika Old Age Home was founded in 2016 by Yogesh Thakur, a construction business owner moved by the plight of elderly individuals who were destitute, abandoned, or left feeling isolated and depressed. What began with just one resident has grown into a thriving community. Today, the home supports 105 elders across two centers in the Thane district,. Residents range in age from approximately 55 to 100 years, creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
Amenities
A dedicated team of professional, trained caregivers forms the backbone of the home’s operations. These young, certified individuals assist residents with daily needs such as toileting, bed-making, administering timely medication, and providing meals. Beyond meeting physical needs, Radhika Old Age Home encourages community engagement by welcoming individual and corporate volunteers to conduct activities such as art, singing, acting, crochet, knitting, sewing, yoga, dance, and movement therapy. These programs bring emotional enrichment and joy to residents’ lives.
