Guanella Preethi Nivas

Guanella Preethi Nivas is rooted in the rich spiritual legacy of St. Luigi Guanella, who founded the Guanellian mission on March 24, 1908, in Como, Italy. This mission was officially recognized as a pontifical institution in 1912, with further affirmation in 1928. At its core, the organization follows the Guanellian motto, “In Omnibus Caritas”, meaning “In all things Love” a principle that guides every aspect of its work.
Situated in Amani Byrathikhane, Hennur Gardens, Bangalore-77, Guanella Preethi Nivas operates under the registered body The Guanellian Society (No. 121/87). The institution is overseen by Rev. Fr. Kulandaisamy, SDC, who serves both as Superior and Director, ensuring that the mission remains faithful to its founding values and continues to serve with compassion and care.

Amenities
One of the key services provided by the center is the Don Guanella Home for Destitute Men, which has been operational since 2007. This facility is currently home to around 60 elderly residents, offering them vital support including shelter, daily meals, and medical attention.
The Good Samaritan Ministry extends immediate care to individuals found in distress on the roadside. Through local collaboration, the ministry offers preliminary aid and then refers those in need for further treatment or long-term support, ensuring they are not left behind.
Guanella Preethi Nivas also runs a Guanella Oratory for Children, welcoming up to 200 underprivileged children. Here, the children benefit from opportunities for social interaction, moral and value-based education, recreational activities, nutrition, and financial support for their schooling needs.
Another vital initiative is the Guanella Tuition Center, an evening program supporting about 50 boys and girls. The center combines supervised study, academic tutoring, light snacks, and playtime, offering a holistic space where learning is both engaging and supportive.
