Fatima Old Age Home

Fatima Old Age Home was founded in 2014 with the vision of providing care, dignity, and respect to aging destitute mothers, enabling them to live their later years with grace. The initiative was started by Mohammed Abdul Wasif, who returned from his accounts job in the Gulf to Hyderabad to care for his late mother. Inspired by his personal experience, he established a secular institution where elderly women could live freely, with respect and without any religious imposition. The home began modestly with just five residents in 2014, growing to 48 residents by 2018 and currently accommodating up to 60 aging mothers. Over time, the institution has extended its mission to include not only elderly women but also children and youth who are abandoned, neglected, or facing family challenges. The home operates within a secular framework, ensuring complete religious freedom for all residents. Fatima Old Age Home is located behind Fatima Homeo Clinic on Falaknuma Railway Station Road, Falaknuma, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Fatima Old Age Home provides comprehensive healthcare and well-being services. Residents receive 24/7 attentive care from trained staff, daily health checkups by nurses, regular physiotherapy sessions, and access to specialist doctors and diagnostics on call. Additional support is available for residents with special medical conditions. Comfort and hygiene are prioritized, with individual beds in shared rooms, Western-style bathrooms, and balanced diets prepared in a well-equipped kitchen. Laundry services and free chilled drinking water are available throughout the year, with consumption exceeding 2,000 liters per day in summer. Residents also have internet access, indoor games, cable television, and a safe environment with 24-hour CCTV surveillance. Ambulance services are ready for emergencies, and a competent medical team is available at all times. A walking track and mobility assistance are provided for residents who require support.
The home maintains a clean and healthy environment, organizing regular outings and tours to ensure social engagement. Family visits are welcomed between 11 am and 7 pm, while overnight guests are not permitted to avoid disturbing the residents’ routine.

Accommodation at Fatima Old Age Home consists of shared rooms with individual beds and hygienic Western-style bathrooms. The home offers several pricing plans that bundle all services into one package. The monthly plan costs ₹7,000, which covers comfortable bedding, clothing, three nutritional meals, two teas/snacks daily, physiotherapy four times per week, full medical coverage, and outings or picnics. A three-month plan is priced at ₹21,000, a six-month plan at ₹42,000, and a one-year plan at ₹84,000.
