Started by AJ Foundation almost half a decade back with the memory of Shri. Madhuri & Madhukar Bhave – parents of our Chairperson, Mrs. Anjali. Deshpande. At Madhur Bhav they believe in in the overall well-being of patients, which includes their social, emotional, psychological, and physical well-being, with a view to promoting their dignity and self-esteem.

Madhur Bhav Senior Living operates across four locations in Pune: Pimple Nilakh, Baner, Sinhagad Road, and Navsahyadri Society: offering dependable and accessible assisted living for seniors. The communities are designed for those who require varying levels of support, with options that include single rooms, twin-sharing arrangements, and private accommodation. Each space keeps comfort at the centre while ensuring safety and dignity.

Care Philosophy & Approach

The core of Madhur Bhav’s approach lies in personalised, evolving care. Upon admission, the medical officer meets the resident and their family to create a tailored care plan based on both physical and psychological needs. This plan is reviewed regularly and adjusted as the resident’s condition changes. A multidisciplinary team, doctors, nurses, psychologists, gerontologists, and trained caregivers—provides round-the-clock supervision. The focus remains on creating a home-like atmosphere supported by professional medical care, gentle routines, and emotional comfort.

Types of Care Offered

Madhur Bhav delivers a wide spectrum of services. Assisted living supports seniors who require daily help with meals, mobility, hygiene, and medication. Independent living suits those who prefer a simpler lifestyle with minimal support. Post-operative care provides structured short-term recovery, including physiotherapy, wound care, feeding support, and assistance with day-to-day tasks. For seniors with memory challenges, the dementia unit ensures 24/7 supervision within a safe environment. Palliative care focuses on comfort for those with chronic or serious illnesses, prioritising dignity and relief. The Maitri Day Care Centre offers weekday engagement for seniors who need supervision for a few hours, while home care services bring trained caregivers to support individuals for 12 or 24 hours at home.

Life at Madhur Bhav involves gentle engagement through music, movement, creativity, and companionship. Music therapy, featuring classical, Hindi, and Marathi melodies, helps stimulate memory and creates a comforting atmosphere. Art and craft sessions encourage seniors to express emotions, improve motor skills, and stay creatively active. Light sports and physical exercises build confidence and help residents maintain mobility. Some campuses also include animals: cows, pets, and cats, which offer emotional warmth and companionship. Festivals, birthdays, films, reading sessions, and group interactions keep the environment familiar and uplifting without overwhelming residents.

Each Madhur Bhav location includes CCTV surveillance, power backup, walking and jogging tracks, recreation rooms, libraries, and a temple within the premises. Organic kitchen farming contributes to fresh meals, while raised furniture, safe bathrooms, and senior-friendly design reduce risks. A team of trained caregivers and staff stay accessible at all times, ensuring that assistance is available whenever needed. Routine medical check-ups, nutritious vegetarian food, and daily housekeeping create a dependable environment where seniors feel supported.

Accommodation & Daily Living

Residences at Madhur Bhav are designed to feel familiar, simple, and secure. Each unit is furnished and includes an attached bathroom fitted with safety railings, anti-skid flooring, and senior-friendly fixtures. Daily housekeeping, laundry services, and freshly prepared vegetarian meals ensure ease and routine. Meals use fresh ingredients and cater to dietary considerations. Across all branches, the environment stays calm and predictable, allowing residents to feel at ease in their surroundings. Accommodation options can vary from single, twin sharing and private rooms, residents can choose depending upon their needs and preferences. Private rooms are available at ₹85,000 a month and sharing rooms at ₹50,000 a month. For elderly couples, a special area is available at ₹1,50,000 a month. For trial or short-term stays, the daily rates are ₹3,000 for a private room, ₹2,000 for a shared room, and ₹5,000 per day for a couple. There is a one-time registration charge of ₹5,000 at the time of admission. All rooms are equipped with a bed, cupboard, sofa, TV, and attached toilet and bathroom, providing residents with comfort and privacy in a secure environment.
